Business Analyst, Ochsner Health Network (SPHTM)


This job, under moderate supervision, provides business analysis and operations support to the particular area of the business they support. Responsible for maintenance and accuracy of key provider and network data, including but not limited to, provider, practice, and payor roster updates. Elicits and documents stakeholder requirements and communicates to business and technical teams. Creates and enforces data governance standards. Serves as a liaison between OHN, payors, and CIN Partners. Supports network stakeholders in utilizing software and tools through sharing of best practices and training. Responds to ad hoc reporting, analysis, and project support requests and answers questions from users and business stakeholders.

Education 
Required - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

Work Experience
Required - Experience in data analysis and reporting.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Able to quickly adapt and learn in an ever-changing technical, contractual, and regulatory healthcare environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Excellent understanding of data collection, organization, analysis, distribution, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of physician networks, clinical integration, population health, value-based contracting helpful.
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Must be proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office applications

Job Duties
  • Understands and sets priorities, handles multiple tasks simultaneously, and designs work plans to track progress, resolves issues, and efficiently and effectively sees tasks to completion.
  • Responsible for support and management of physician network data and software and support of primary business stakeholders.
  • Participates in quality assurance activities.
  • Comply with data governance standards for effective data management and alignment with existing corporate policies
  • Participates in activities for professional development.
  • Participates in special projects involving analysis.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability),
Must be able to see in color vision.

Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
