Student Research Assistant, Community Health Worker Program (SPHTM)

Job title: Student Research Assistant

Description:

This is a paid part-time position with the Center for Healthcare Value and Equity at LSUHSC-NO. This position will support programming and research related to community health worker (CHW) workforce development. CHWs are a unique workforce who promote health equity through education, outreach, service coordination, and individual and community capacity building.

The student research assistant will support development of educational materials for community health workers, healthcare providers and additional stakeholders and support strategic web-based and social media communications. The research assistant will also take part in data collection and cleaning, organizing data for reporting and publications, and may assist in preparing manuscripts and publication materials.

Responsibilities:
• Designing engaging educational campaigns for diverse stakeholder groups
• Creating printed training and outreach materials
• Developing informational content for websites
• Conducting literature searches
• Supporting data analysis

Requirements:
• Strategic and creative mindset
• Experience with web and graphic design
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups
• Knowledge of health communication strategies
• Must be available to work 10 hours a week
